How to use the Lasso Edit Mode

In GoodNotes 6, your handwriting can be recognized as text, making it easy to edit! With Handwriting Edit Mode, available in the Lasso menu, you can tweak individual words or sentences without affecting the entire block of writing.

How to use Edit Mode:

  1. Use the Lasso tool to select your handwriting, then tap it to open the Lasso menu.
  2. Tap the Edit Mode icon to activate Edit Mode.
  3. Once in Edit Mode, you'll see handles appear on the sides of your selection. These let you reflow your handwriting and adjust how many words appear on each line.
  4. To edit specific words, just double-tap on them with your pencil. Drag the handles to select the words you want to change—those words will be outlined in blue.
  5. Use the pop-up menu to cut, copy, change colors, get help from GoodNotes, and more!
  6. You can also adjust text alignment and color using the Edit Mode options.
