Once you've successfully deployed Goodnotes for School/Business via MDM, your end-users can use Goodnotes without logging in to the app. However, if some are suddenly stuck on a login page that requires an Access Code to proceed, the license key might not be recognized on their devices.
If your institution is using Jamf School MDM, please follow these suggestions:
Why is my license key not recognized in Jamf School?
If using another MDM, please ensure:
- The Managed App Configuration targets the affected devices.
- It follows the specific MDM's syntax. While most MDMs should understand our recommended plist content, some might require manually creating a "LicenseKey" key of type "string" with its value being your license key.
If the problem continues, please tell the affected end-users not to delete the app. Instead, please send us the following:
- Your full license key and MDM name.
- A screenshot of the Managed App Configuration showing the license key.
- Diagnostic Data from a device with the issue (Goodnotes ⚙️ menu in library view > About > Export Diagnostic Data).
