There are two ways to export a document from GoodNotes:
1. Export from the library view
To export a document from the library view, tap on Edit in the upper right corner. Select the document(s) you want to export and tap on the Export button in the upper left.
2. Exporting from within the document
In an open document, tap on the three dots in the upper right of the toolbar. Tap export and chose between exporting the current page and exporting all pages.
Setting the right export options
After choosing export, you have several options.
Format: Select which file format the exported document will have. You can chose PDF, image, or GoodNotes document. A GoodNotes document can only be opened with GoodNotes for iOS or with GoodNotes for Mac.
Backgrounds: "Normal" will export the document exactly the way how it looks like on your device. "Remove Background Color" will remove the background color of pages that are not white. If you're exporting a page with a custom template, the template needs to have a second page with the background removed. "Blank" will export a blank document.
Export Annotations: Make sure that this option is activated if you want to include all your notes and annotations. If you want to export a blank document, you can deactivate it.
File Name: Tap on the name to change it before exporting.
