QuickNote is a new feature of GoodNotes 5 that lets you create a new blank note instantly. You can start writing right away and don't have to choose a cover or template in the beginning.
How it works
There are two ways how a QuickNote can be created:
- Double-tapping the + button in the library view
- Choose "QuickNote" from the pop-up after tapping the + button in the library view
This will create a new blank document that is always saved in the currently opened folder as a preliminary draft.
If you tap the back button to go back to the library view, you can choose to save or discard your created document.
Setting the default paper template
When you first use the QuickNote button, you'll be able to set the default paper template. Every new note you create with the QuickNote button will have the default paper set automatically.
You can always change the default paper template in the user menu under "Notebook Templates". Tap on one of the templates to select it as default.
- Create a QuickNote whenever you're not sure where to write something down. You can always extend the new note or move it to an existing document/notebook subsequently.
- Discarding QuickNotes helps to keep your library clean from things you never plan on saving long-term. You can export a page that you created with the QuickNote button and then discard it by tapping on the back button.
