We just released the update 4.13.1 to the App Store which adds support for the new iPad Pros and the 2nd generation of the Apple Pencil to GoodNotes. This version will crash when opening a document on the iOS 12 public beta 1. To fix it, please install the regular iOS 12.1 update or the latest available public beta.
Steps to uninstall a public beta
You can follow Apple's instructions for uninstalling a public beta profile but this would require a complete restore of your device from a backup. There is an easier way to do it:
- On your iOS device, open Settings > General
- Scroll down and Tap on "Profile"
- Tap on "Remove Profile"
- Enter your passcode and confirm by tapping "Remove"
- Restart your device
- Update iOS 12 in Settings > General > Software Update
I'm not running a public beta of iOS and GoodNotes still crashes
If you have confirmed that you're not running an iOS 12 beta or successfully uninstalled it, please send us the following information for further investigation of the issue:
- your Support ID (GoodNotes > Options > Settings > About)
- your iOS version
Please share the information with us via email.
In the meantime, you can install a recovery version (without support for Apple Pencil 2) to access your documents through this link.
The link will need to be opened on your iOS device to install the recovery version through the Apple TestFlight app.
