If you already bought GoodNotes 5, which is a universal app, you can redownload GoodNotes 5 from your Purchase History to your Apple devices (iPads, iPhones, Macs) if you log in with the same Apple ID you used for the original GoodNotes 5 purchase.
Alternatively, you can redownload the app from the GoodNotes App Store page. However, if you see that the price is shown instead of a "redownload from cloud" icon, please first make sure you're logged in with the Apple ID you used for the original purchase, then try any of the following:
- Open the Settings app > Apple ID > Media & Purchases > Sign Out. Tap "Media & Purchases" > Continue, then check your Purchase History again.
- Restart your device, then check your Purchase History again.
- If you still can't find the app in Purchase History, see if it's hidden from the list.
- If you're 100% sure you bought the app under this Apple ID (e.g. you have the receipt in your inbox, or you can redownload it to another device), but you still see the price, go ahead and try to purchase it until you're told that the update is free. This is a confusing bug of the App Store but you won't be double-charged for a past purchase.
If the issue is still there, we suggest contacting Apple Support to see what they have to say about this as they might want to look at your account to understand what's possibly wrong. As developers, we don't have access to any Apple ID accounts in order to provide further help.
