Your existing notes suddenly get blurred without warning or any error messages. You can continue writing new notes, which are still sharp.
The eraser doesn't work at this point.
- The app might crash.
After the app crashes or is restarted manually, the sharp notes are gone and the previously blurred notes turn sharp.
This issue seems to happen exclusively to devices running iPadOS 14.5 Public Beta.
To resolve this immediately, please update the latest version of iPadOS 14.5.1.
In general, we recommend being careful when installing beta versions of apps or new operating systems as they may break the functionality you rely on.
If you're affected even though you're not on iPadOS beta, please send us the Diagnostic Data from GoodNotes ⚙️ menu in the library view > About > Export Diagnostic Data, and crash logs:
1. If you can, try to reproduce any crash when this issue occurs, so the crash can be logged to the system.
2. Open iPad Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data.
3. Tap the line that starts with "GoodNotes" and includes the latest date-stamp of the crash plus a number, for example GoodNotes-2020-04-31-xxxxx.ips (see screenshot).
4. Tap Share in the top-right corner and email it to us.
