The goal with Community is for us to offer a place where GoodNotes users can learn and collaborate with others to grow academically. We want to offer a place where you can not only pass your classes, but also connect with other individuals, topics, and concepts that you otherwise wouldn't find.
However, one of the things we want to ensure is that Community is not something that is misused. It's important to us that Community is a product used for learning and developing - not for cheating or plagiarising other user's hard work.
As such, we have developed an Honor Code that we expect all our Community members to follow. Please take some time to review these do's and don'ts, and feel free to reach out to us for any further information on these:
Do's and Don'ts:
✅ - Use Community respectfully and responsibly, and in line with your schools academic integrity policy (for general help on this, see our Community Academic Integrity Guide).
✅ - Upload useful and high quality study materials to the app, in line with our Community Content Guide and our general Community Guidelines.
✅ - Use Community to revise and study your course material or personal interest. Additionally, we encourage you to use Community to assist with your assignments when appropriate (such as when your lecturer or tutor has allowed for outside help).
❌ - Copy or plagiarise other Community members work, or use Community to complete assignments when instructed by your tutor / lecturer to not use external help.
❌ - Upload other individuals study materials and claim them to be your own. This also extends to university-provided lecture notes or course books (you can also add screenshots from lecture slides and textbooks if the main purpose of including them is in order to "criticize" them. However, the main part of your uploaded materials should be created and owned by yourself).
❌ - Use Community in any way which violates our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, or your school's / institution's academic integrity policy.
