When you upload academic notes onto Community, we require that you fill in a bit of information about the study materials - including course name, institution, and some study tags.
The reason for this is to help other users discover your documents quickly, someone studying the same or a similar course to you may benefit significantly from your notes (and vice versa). As the point of Community is to share and learn together, it's really important that other people studying similar (or the same) course as you can find useful study notes to help them out!
