When trying to sign in to Google Drive for Auto-Backup, you might have experienced an issue where the sign-in window disappears before you are able to input your Google Drive account details. Logging in to other accounts, such as OneDrive and Dropbox may still be completely functional, however Google Drive will not allow sign-in at all.
This appears to be a caching issue with the authorisation process and while we are investigating the issue, feel free to try the following steps and see if you are then able to login to Google Drive for auto-backup:
- Restart the device.
- Offload the app, which will clear its temporary storage but keep your documents intact? Please go to device Settings > General > iPad Storage > GoodNotes > Offload App. This might take a while. After that, tap "Reinstall App" to have all your documents placed back.
- Reinstall the Google Drive app, which hopefully resets its integration with the system and other apps.
- Go to device Settings > Safari > Clear History & Website Data, then try logging in to auto-backup again:
If none of that helps, first backup your data via iCloud Sync or Manual backup, then re-install GoodNotes and restore your notebooks. If that still does not work for you, for now, either use the aforementioned alternative methods, iCloud Sync or Manual backup, to keep your data safe and reach out to us here, so that we can investigate further.
