The Library is home to your valuable notes. It's what you see after launching the app and logging into your Microsoft/Google account. Initially, the library is empty, but as you work with GoodNotes, you'll see all your creations here.
Switch to Library View from Document View

Tap the

icon in the top-left corner of the document view:
Sort displayed items

Choose a sort option from the dropdown list near the top-right corner:
- Sort by Date: The items are sorted by Last Edited date. The most recently edited items come first.
- Sort by Name: The items are sorted alphabetically.
Create a notebook

Choose the New button, then Notebook:

Customize your notebook:
- Set the size and layout (portrait/landscape):

Set the cover: Choose Cover in the left panel and select a cover from the scrollable list on the right.

Set the paper template: Choose Paper underneath Cover in the left panel and similarly select a paper template.
ℹ️ These properties will be saved as defaults for the next notebook you create.

Name your notebook in the Title field and choose Create Notebook. The notebook will be opened automatically.
Import one or more files
GoodNotes supports importing PDFs.
- Choose the New button, then Import.
- Select one or more files and confirm.
Alternatively, you can drag files to the GoodNotes window. Please note that the file size limit is 100 MB per file.
Open a notebook
To manually open a notebook from the library view, tap its thumbnail.
Rename a notebook

Tap the down arrow under the notebook thumbnail:

Choose Rename, edit the title, and tap the enter key to confirm.
Delete a notebook

Tap the down arrow under the notebook thumbnail:

Choose Delete and confirm.
