Handwriting and typed AI note-taking features

No, AI features are only available in Goodnotes 6. If you are using an older version of GoodNotes, you will not be able to use AI features.
Is personal data (handwriting/notebook content) used to train AI features?
We understand handwriting is personal and could be uniquely identifiable. Therefore, Goodnotes 6 is built to protect users’ privacy. AI handwriting features like Spellcheck and Word Complete that are based off our proprietary ML model are run entirely on device and the data is not sent anywhere so no one - including GoodNotes - can access it.
For AI typing feature, we do not use your data to train AI models and we do not store the data in our servers except the case you explicitly put the document in our cloud. Any selected text you send via AI typing will be shared with our partners for the sole purpose of providing you with AI typing features.
How can you contribute to improving GoodNotes AI features?
We’re always looking for ways to improve the accuracy and performance of our AI features. One way you can help is by providing feedback on problematic outputs. If you see any content/behaviour that is incorrectly processed, please let us know by providing feedback through our Contact Form.
Your feedback will help us to improve the accuracy and performance of our AI features. Thank you for your help!
