I purchased Goodnotes 6 at the older discount price, how can I refund the difference?

How has the discount changed?

If you were a paying user of GoodNotes 5 Full Version and recently updated to Goodnotes 6, you may have taken advantage of our discounted offer for either the One-Time Purchase or Subscription payment models. 

You may have seen that we have since added extra discount off the One-Time Purchase to bring it to a similar level as our Subscription offer. The discount percentages for Subscription remains the same.

How can I get the new discount?

If you already purchased a Goodnotes 6 license under the old discount scheme, you might be able to take advantage of the new discount. To do this you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Submit a refund request to Apple.
    Please note that Apple is the ultimate approver of all refunds for In-App Purchases and items from the App Store (refund eligibility for digital purchases vary by country or region, see the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions for details). Our Technical Support staff will not be able to approve this for you and if Apple rejects the request, the steps below won't work.
  2. Wait 1-2 hours after Apple approved the refund for the Goodnotes 6 app to recognize the removal of your receipt from the back end.
  3. Your copy of Goodnotes 6 should now be returned to the free version and not recognize you as a paying user.
  4. Purchase again using the same Goodnotes Account and App Store account as you did previously. This will need to be the same App Store account you purchased GoodNotes 5 for the discount to be automatically applied.
