Manage notebook templates

Explore a diverse range of cover and paper templates to give your notes a personal touch. Plus, you have the power to import your very own custom templates and effortlessly organize them in your template library. Empower your creativity and keep your templates organized!

 

Set default notebook template

Default template is used when you create a new notebook or a Quick note. You can change the default Cover and Paper according to your needs.

  1. In Library View, Choose the gear icon > Manage Notebook templates.
  2. Choose the desired Cover and Paper template 
  3. Choose Save to confirm the default template selection.

 

Create a template group

With template groups, you can effortlessly sort your templates into various collections, making it a breeze to locate and manage them.

  1. In Library View, Choose the gear icon > Manage Notebook templates.
  2. Choose Edit on the upper right
  3. Choose Cover or Paper at the top
  4. Scroll down and Choose Create new group
  5. Name the new group and choose Create
  6. Scroll down to bottom to see the new template group is created

 

Import a template

  1. In Library View, Choose the gear icon > Manage Notebook templates.
  2. Choose Edit on the upper right
  3. Select Cover or Paper at the top
  4. Scroll down to locate the desired template group for import
  5. Choose the plus sign 
  6. Select the template file to import. 
  7. Name the imported template, configure the template color category (applicable to Paper, but not Cover), template size category and orientation.  
  8. Choose Import

Alternatively, you can use the Import template button:

  1. In Library View, Choose the gear icon > Manage Notebook templates.
  2. Choose Edit on the upper right
  3. Select Cover or Paper at the top
  4. Choose + Import template at the bottom
  5. Select the template file to import
  6. Select Cover or Paper at the top for Import template to...
  7. Select the desired template group or create a new template group
  8. Choose Next
  9. Name the imported template, configure the template color category (applicable to Paper, but not Cover), template size category and orientation.  
  10. Choose Import

Once imported, you'll discover your imported template neatly organized under the suitable color category, size category, and orientation. These imported templates are at your service for creating notebooks, customizing individual pages, and you can even setting them as your new default choice. 

Note: The imported template will NOT be automatically resized to fit the category; it serves solely as a categorization.

Supports file formats: pdfs and images

When importing a multipage PDF, only the first page is imported in as the template.

 

Delete a template or template group

  1. In Library View, Choose the gear icon > Manage Notebook templates.
  2. Choose Edit on the upper right
  3. Select Cover or Paper at the top
  4. Scroll down to locate the desired template or template group for deletion
  5. Select their checkbox(s) 
  6. Choose the Delete icon at the upper right
  7. Choose Delete again to confirm. Once deletion is confirmed, this action cannot be reversed.

Note: Any notebooks already created using the deleted template will NOT be affected.

 

Rename a custom template or custom template group

  1. In Library View, Choose the gear icon > Manage Notebook templates.
  2. Choose Edit on the upper right
  3. Select Cover or Paper at the top
  4. Scroll down to locate the desired template or template group for renaming.
  5. Tap on pen icon to rename
  6. Press enter or tap outside the name box to confirm.

Reorder a custom template group

  1. In Library View, Choose the gear icon > Manage Notebook templates.
  2. Choose Edit on the upper right
  3. Select Cover or Paper at the top
  4. Scroll down to locate the desired template group for reordering.
  5. Tap and hold on the [=] icon.
  6. Drag and drop the template group to the desired position.
