How to download the app?
Goodnotes for Windows is available at Microsoft Store.
Goodnotes for Android is available at Galaxy Store and Google Play.

What are the device requirements?
Windows device or machine with at least 4 GB of RAM can use Goodnotes for Windows. Samsung tablets with at least 3GB and 6-inch screen can use Goodnotes for Android (details here).
Which Android devices are compatible?
Currently, we have a specific set of criteria, outlined in the section above, to ensure compatibility. When you access the app through the Google Play Store and Samsung Galaxy Store, it automatically verifies if your device meets the necessary specifications. If your device is not compatible, the store will prompt you with this information. This streamlined process guarantees that you can confidently install the app on devices that fulfill the requirements, providing you with the best possible experience.
Why do I need to login?
All the notes are stored on our cloud, it allows you to access your notes on another devices with the same account. Your documents of Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web are securely stored in our cloud server, simply login to the same Goodnotes Account to access them. By using the same login credential, you can seamlessly synchronize the notebook library across Windows, Android, and Web.
What is the difference between Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web compared to Goodnotes 6 for iOS ?
Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web offers its own unique experience separate from Goodnotes 6 on iOS. Although features like Marketplace, handwriting-to-text conversion, and the Trash Bin are exclusive to iOS version at the moment, Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web encompasses essential note-taking features. It is important to note that items purchased in iOS Marketplace can still be conveniently shared to Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web. Furthermore, it provides an online-first experience, you can enjoy the optimal experience with a stable Internet connection.
Can I login with my Apple ID?
You can log in to Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web using your Apple ID. Nevertheless, it's important to note that the synchronization of your iOS notebooks is currently unavailable as Goodnotes for iOS and Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web are separate applications. Consequently, the notebooks you see in Goodnotes for iOS won't be visible in Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web.
Why are my notebooks on Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web not syncing with my iOS devices?
Being a separate note-taking app, your iOS GoodNotes library do not sync with Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web including Marketplace purchases. We are working on providing different sync options at the moment, hopefully this will become available in the near future. In order to access your iPad notes, you can generate a share link of your notebook to access it from Android, Windows, and Web. Here’s an article on how to do it.
Can I sync my notebooks between Android, Windows, and Web?
With Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web, your account remains the same across these platforms. If you wish to synchronize your notebooks between Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web, simply login using your Goodnotes Account to access your notebooks.
Is there any backup options available?
Sadly, build-in backup function is not supported at the moment. However, all the notebooks are stored on our cloud, you can use the export function export and backup your notes as PDFs. To learn more: How to export my notebook as PDF?
I was a Beta user, can I still access notebooks created in Beta?
Rest assure that your notebooks in the beta version will stay in your account, simply login using your credentials to access you notebooks. The shared files of beta users would continue to be in shared. If you are a free user, you will not be allowed to share new files. If you have subscribed to Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web, or Goodnotes Pro you can edit unlimited notebooks.
I was a Beta user, what benefits do I have?
As a token of gratitude, we're delighted to offer you complete access to the notebooks you've created whereas non-beta users have 3 notebooks limit. To unlock the complete experience and create unlimited books, we invite you to upgrade and embrace all the exciting features available. Please see the subscription options here.
Can I use Dynamic Templates on Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web?
Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web (and GoodNotes 5) cannot generate custom sizes templates or custom themes. However, notebooks created by dynamic templates from Goodnotes 6 on iOS can be used on Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web. Please see this article on how to share you notebooks from iOS.

How do I subscribe?
To subscribe, simply choose the gear icon on the upper right corner, you will see the option for Upgrade.
How do I check which plan I have subscribed?
To check your current plan, choose the gear icon on the upper right corner > Manage account > Manage subscription. Your current plan should be shown along with its next renewal date.
What’s the difference between “Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web” vs “Goodnotes Pro” subscriptions?

Why doesn’t my subscription unlock paid features on Goodnotes 6 for iOS?
If you have subscribed to Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web, it does not offer access to paid features in iOS. If you wish to unlock the Premium features on iOS, Android, Windows and Web, please consider to subscribe to Goodnotes Pro.
I have already subscribed annually for Goodnotes 6 on iOS, and now I want to use Goodnotes on Android or Windows devices. Do I need to pay again?
No, you do not need to pay again. Goodnotes 6 annual subscription users can also enjoy the Premium features in on iOS, Android, Windows and Web.
I have purchased one-time payment on iOS, and now I want to use Goodnotes on Android or Windows devices. Do I need to pay again?
One-time purchase on GoodNotes 5 or Goodnotes 6 does not offer access to the paid version of Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web, but you can still access the free version. Learn more on Which subscription is best for me.
You can try to request a refund from Apple Support for your one-time payment. Please note that Apple has full discretion in deciding whether to offer a refund. And when the refund was granted, subscribe annually to Goodnotes 6 via iOS app or subscribe to Goodnotes Pro via Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web.
I get an error message when trying to subscribe "Something went wrong. We could't subscribe you to Goodnotes Pro." What should I do?
First, ensure that your internet connection is stable. Additionally, try restarting your device to address any potential issues. If the issue persists, please contact our Support Team for further assistance.
I've already subscribed but I still cannot use the premium features. What should I do?
If you’ve purchased an subscription plan, yet you still don't seem to be able to access the premium features, make sure that you sign in to the account that has your subscriptions. To view your account details, choose the profile icon on the upper right corner > Manage account. You can see your email and the plan subscribed.
How do I renew my subscription?
Your subscription will renew automatically so long as you have a valid payment method connected to your account. You can cancel subscription anytime.
How to cancel my Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web subscription?
Please note that when you uninstall the app, your subscription won't cancel. To cancel your subscription, please follow the steps in this article.
What happens to my notebooks if I cancel my subscription on Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web ?
Cancelled subscriptions will be changed to free plan at the final date of the subscribed period. After last day of subscription, all notebooks will become read only. You will not be able to create new notebooks above the 3 notebook limit. If you have more than 3 notebooks, you will be able to select your preferred 3 notebooks to edit. If you have 3 or less notebooks, all your notebooks remains editable. Please upgrade for unlimited notebook editing.
