What are the device requirements?

We want Goodnotes to run smoothly on your devices. For the best experience:

  • Windows: A device with at least 4 GB of RAM is recommended.
  • Android: An Android tablet with at least 4 GB of RAM and a 6-inch screen or larger is recommended.

Which Android devices are compatible?

We've set some criteria to ensure Goodnotes works well on your Android tablet. When you visit the Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy Store, they'll automatically check if your device meets these requirements. If not, the store will let you know. This streamlined process guarantees that you can confidently install the app on devices that fulfill the requirements, providing you with the best possible experience.

 

Why do I need to login?

By logging in, you can access your membership and synced notebooks from another device. Your documents are safely stored in Goodnotes Cloud, so just use the same Goodnotes account to keep everything synced across Windows, Android, and Web.

 

Can I login with my Apple ID?

Absolutely! You can use your Apple ID to login to Goodnotes on Android, Windows, and Web to access your account. However, to see your iOS notebooks on these platforms, you will need Goodnotes Cloud sync. Learn more about Goodnotes Cloud on iOS Pilot Program here.

 

Why are my notebooks on Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web not syncing with my iOS devices?

Goodnotes uses Goodnotes Cloud to sync your iOS notebooks with the Android, Windows, and web versions of the app. If you're not using Goodnotes Cloud on your iOS device, your notebooks won't automatically appear on other platforms.

Can I sync my notebooks between Android, Windows, and Web?

Yes, your notebooks are automatically synced between Android, Windows, and Web using Goodnotes Cloud. Just log in with your Goodnotes account to access them.

 

Are There Backup Options Available?

Can I use Dynamic Templates on Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web?

Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web (and GoodNotes 5) cannot generate custom sizes templates or custom themes. But the good news is, notebooks created by dynamic templates from Goodnotes 6 on iOS can be used on Goodnotes for Android, Windows, and Web. Here’s how to share you notebooks from iOS.
