Change Light and Dark Mode on Android, Windows, and Chromebook

This article only applies to Goodnotes on Android, Windows, and Chromebook. Goodnotes follows the theme selected in the browser associated with the app.

The desktop theme section is named “Appearance”.

Windows

Goodnotes follows the Microsoft Edge theme.

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Select the three dots in the upper-right corner.
3. Select Settings.
4. Under Appearance, choose Light or Dark.
5. Open Goodnotes again.

Android with Google Chrome

Goodnotes installed from Google Play may use the Chrome theme.

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Select the three vertical dots.
3. Select Settings > Theme.
4. Choose Light or Dark.
5. Return to Goodnotes.

Android with Samsung Internet

Goodnotes installed from the Galaxy Store may use the Samsung Internet theme.

1. Open Samsung Internet.
2. Select the three horizontal lines.
3. Open Settings > Webpage View and Scrolling.
4. Set Dark Mode to On for dark mode or Off for light mode.
5. Open Goodnotes again.

Chromebook

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Select the three dots.
3. Open Settings > Appearance.
4. Choose Light or Dark.
5. Refresh Goodnotes.
