Goodnotes limits excessive simultaneous account sessions to protect account security, service reliability, and licensed content. If an account exceeds its configured limit, the oldest active sessions are signed out first.
Important: Most customers using their own account on their usual devices will not be affected. Goodnotes does not currently provide a screen for viewing or remotely removing individual active sessions.
What happens when the session limit is reached
- The oldest active session is revoked first.
- You can sign in again on that device, but another older session might then be signed out.
- The configured limit can differ based on when the account was created and account-specific settings.
Reduce unexpected sign-outs
- Use your Goodnotes account only on devices you control.
- On a device you no longer use, open Goodnotes and sign out of the account.
- Sign in again on the device you want to keep active.
- If unexpected sign-outs continue even though you do not share the account, contact Technical Support.
Avoid shared or resold accounts
Do not buy a “premium Goodnotes account” from an unknown seller or share account credentials with other people. If someone else controls or deletes a shared account, you can lose access to content associated with it.
Purchase Goodnotes subscriptions only through supported distribution platforms, including the Apple App Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store, and Samsung Galaxy Store.
Account-sharing policy
Sharing or reselling Goodnotes accounts or Marketplace content can violate the Goodnotes Terms and Conditions and can result in account restrictions or termination. Keep your sign-in credentials private.
