Upgrade to Subscriptions with Special Edition
If you have paid for Special Edition and then choose to upgrade a subscription for additional features, such as Essential, Pro, or AI Pass. Here’s what happens next:
- While the subscription is active: You enjoy the features included in your subscription.
- When the subscription ends: Your access falls back to Special Edition. You do not drop to the Free plan.
- You can re‑subscribe at any time to access those subscription features.

If I subscribe to Goodnotes Essential or Goodnotes Pro, do I lose Special Edition?
No. Your subscription allow you to enjoy its additional features. When it ends, you return to Special Edition.
Why do my Special Edition isn’t showing on my Account Information?
Ensure to use the same Goodnotes account and the same App Store Apple ID that you used to buy Special Edition. You can go to Goodnotes menu > Your Name (Account Information) > Subscription to see subscription details and status.
Can I use Special Edition on multiple Apple devices?
Yes, as long as those devices are signed in with the same App Store Apple ID and the same Goodnotes account used for the purchase.
