Legacy-user warning: this guide is only for users with confirmed access to a previously purchased full version of GoodNotes 5. It does not determine purchase eligibility.
The version control is “Run Goodnotes in Version 6”.
Switch to GoodNotes 5
- Open the Goodnotes menu from the Library.
- Select your name or Account Info, then choose GoodNotes 5.
- Disable Run Goodnotes in Version 6.
- Reopen the app and confirm that GoodNotes 5 is displayed.
If the option is missing
If you still cannot see it, confirm that the App Store uses the Apple Account associated with the original purchase. If restoration fails, follow Restore a GoodNotes 5 Purchase. Do not delete or reinstall Goodnotes.
Get help
Contact Apple Support if the purchase is absent from Purchase History. If Apple confirms it but the control remains unavailable, contact Goodnotes Support with app/device versions and a redacted Account Info screenshot.
