Sync Goodnotes documents between iPhones/iPads/Macs

Keep the same documents across your Apple devices so you can work on a document from any of them.

iCloud is required to sync your documents. When your devices have an active internet connection, your changes sync across devices that are signed in to the same iCloud account, which is your Apple Account.

Set up iCloud sync

Complete these steps on all your devices:

  1. Sign in to the same iCloud account.
  2. In Goodnotes, open the Goodnotes menu in the top-right corner of the Library View.
  3. Select Cloud & Backup > Cloud Sync.
  4. Enable Use iCloud to Sync Documents.

When iCloud sync is enabled, document updates sync to your iCloud account. A spinning cloud icon appears in the top-left corner of an updated document while it syncs.
