Sync Goodnotes between iPhone, iPad, and Mac with iCloud

Use iCloud Sync to keep the same Goodnotes library available on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Important: iCloud Sync works between Apple devices signed in to the same Apple Account. To sync with Android, Windows, or Web, see Sync your Goodnotes library across all platforms with Goodnotes Cloud.

Turn on iCloud Sync

Complete these steps on every iPhone, iPad, and Mac you want to sync:

  1. Sign in to the same Apple Account on every device.
  2. Open Goodnotes and go to Library view.
  3. Open the Goodnotes menu in the top-right corner.
  4. Select Cloud & Backup > Cloud Sync.
  5. Enable “Use iCloud to Sync Documents”.

When iCloud Sync is enabled, changes upload to iCloud and appear on your other connected Apple devices. A spinning cloud icon appears on a recently updated document while it syncs.
