Cancel a subscription on your iPhone or iPad

Learn how to cancel a subscription that you purchased with Goodnotes from the App Store below. Or, check out this article on how to Cancel Subscription on Android, Windows, or Web

Steps:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap the subscription > look for Goodnotes from "Active subscription list"
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription. You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button. If there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled.

Notes:

If you have purchased your subscription via the Google Play Store, you can follow that platform's ordinary procedures for cancelling subscriptions: Cancel a subscription on Google Play.

For all other users, you can manage your subscription under Settings → Manage account → Manage Subscription. Here you have the option to cancel your subscription. You will be notified of the date your access will come to an end and will get a reminder in the app.

What happens after a subscription is canceled?

After canceling your subscription, you'll remain on the current plan until it expires, at which time you'll be switched back to the free plan and your documents will be read-only. If you try to edit any 3 of them, you'll be asked to make them editable. Once you have made this choice, you cannot go back. You will still be able to view your other notebooks, but you will not be able to make changes to them.
