What's the difference between the "Android, Windows, and Web Yearly Plan" and the "Goodnotes Essential Plan"?
The Goodnotes Essential Plan includes everything in the Android, Windows, and Web Yearly Plan, plus it unlocks premium features on iOS devices too! How do I check which subscription plan I'm currently on?
You can easily find your current plan by:
Open the Goodnotes menu in the upper right corner.
Tap your name to open your Account Info.
Select Subscription to view your current subscription details.
You can also check your email inbox for the purchase receipt that was sent when you first subscribed.
How do I upgrade my subscription?
If you're currently on the Android, Windows, and Web Yearly Plan and want to upgrade:
Open the Goodnotes menu in the upper right corner.
Tap your name to open your Account Info.
Select Subscription to view your current subscription details.
Tap Subscribe to a new plan.
You’ll then see the available payment options. Simply follow the instructions on the paywall to complete your purchase.
Your membership will switch to the new plan immediately after upgrading.
Will I get a discount when upgrading?
Yes! Your upgrade cost is prorated - you only pay the difference for the remaining time in your billing period.
For example:
- If you purchased the Android, Windows, and Web Yearly Plan ($7) on January 1st
- And decided to upgrade to the Goodnotes Essential Plan ($10) on June 30th
- You would pay just $1.50 on June 30th (half the difference)
- Your renewal date would remain December 31st
What happens to my renewal date after upgrading?
Your renewal date stays the same after upgrading. You'll simply enjoy your enhanced features for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
I just upgraded my subscription. Can I downgrade back to my original plan and obtain a refund of the upgrade fee?
Please note that once you upgrade, downgrades is not available. We encourage you to carefully consider your decision before upgrading.
