  • Seamlessly displaying your calendar events within the app.
  • Automatically generating connected documents for your meetings.
  • Sending timely pre-event reminders with quick access to note-taking.
  • Organizing your meeting notes by event and date for easy review.

Connect Your Calendar

  1. Open Goodnotes menu (top-right corner of the Library view) > Integrations > Google Calendar.
  2. Choose Connect Google Calendar.
  3. Log in to your primary calendar account and confirm granting access.

You can then find your upcoming events in the left sidebar of the Library View.

Disconnect Your Calendar

Open the More (…) menu in the calendar list > Disconnect.

Take Pre-meeting Notes

  1. Choose Create a new note for event on the event in the calendar section, and choose a document type.
  2. Take notes in the newly created notebook.

Tips:

  • The notebook is created in a folder path Calendar Event > {Event Name} > {Event Name} {Date}.
  • When the meeting comes, take notes for it by choosing Open the note for event on the event in the calendar section.

See Other Events

  1. Choose See other events from the calendar section.

  • View all linked notes grouped together in folder Calendar Event > {Event Name}.
  • Browse chronologically to see meeting notes for any given day.

Live Meeting Summarization creates real-time structured summaries of meetings, helping you stay focused and informed even when multitasking.

It helps you:

  • Convert recorded conversations into organized bullet points
  • See summaries update in real-time and use them immediately without editing
  • Review key points, tasks and commitments that are automatically identified and highlighted.

Regional availability and supported languages

Available regions: all regions except Afghanistan, Belarus, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Ukraine, and Venezuela.

Supported languages: German (Deutsch), English, Spanish (Español), French (Français), Italian (Italiano), Dutch (Nederlands), Portuguese (Português), Japanese (日本語), Korean (한국어), Chinese - Simplified and Traditional (中文 简体, 繁體), and Thai (ไทย). Summaries are generated in the same language as the transcript.

View Real-time Meeting Summary or Transcript

  1. Open the Overflow menu > Start Audio Recording:

  2. Choose the Summary or Transcript tab near the bottom of the left sidebar:

Tip: If you notice an error in the summary, you can quickly provide feedback or corrections. Use the thumbs up/down feature to rate summary accuracy.

Navigate Discussion Topics

Jump to a Specific Discussion Point

When not recording, click on a timestamp (e.g., "[3:10]") to:

  • Play the corresponding audio.
  • View the related transcript in the Transcript tab.
  • Navigate to the most edited page for that section.

You can also:

  • Drag a line from the Summary or Transcript tab on to the page.
  • Long-press a Transcript line for more actions on it.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use the visual timeline to see the meeting's progress.
  • If you need to temporarily leave the meeting, the summary will continue updating. When you return, quickly scan the summary to catch up on what you missed; there’s no need to interrupt others for updates.
  • If you experience poor audio quality, watch for notifications about potential summary inaccuracies for you to edit.
  • In case of temporary connection loss, continue your meeting as the app will automatically sync when connection returns, then you can review any affected sections once synced.
  • For overlapping speakers, the app will indicate if some content might be missing. Ask the meeting attendees for clarification if needed.
  • In case of a language switch mid-meeting, the app will provide translated summaries. You can switch between language views to see both original and translated content.
  • In case of technical failure, the app automatically recovers and indicates any gaps in recording. Keep your handwritten notes as backup during technical issues—they can help fill in any gaps in the AI-generated summary.
  • In a noisy environment, the app will indicate which audio segments are affected for your review. </aside>
