iCloud Sync keeps your Goodnotes data up to date across Apple devices signed in to the same Apple Account. It does not create files that you can browse in iCloud Drive.
Please note: Goodnotes data stored through iCloud Sync cannot be located as individual files in iCloud Drive.
Understand iCloud Sync and iCloud Drive
- iCloud Sync syncs your Goodnotes data across your Apple devices. Enable it in Goodnotes on every device signed in to the same Apple Account. Learn how to turn on iCloud Sync in Goodnotes.
- iCloud Drive is Apple's cloud file storage. It is part of iCloud and counts toward your iCloud storage.
Save Goodnotes files to iCloud Drive
To create files that you can browse in iCloud Drive, export your notes manually:
- Export the notes you want to save.
- Select “Save to Files”.
- Under “Locations”, select “iCloud Drive”.
Automatically save copies to cloud storage
To automatically create copies of your documents in supported cloud storage, set up Auto Backup.
