If your account remains inactive for over two years, any data stored in Goodnotes Cloud will be deleted. We will send you reminder notifications before this happens, giving you the opportunity to download and back up your data or renew your subscription. Please note that data stored locally on your device or in iCloud will not be affected or deleted.
FAQs for Goodnotes EU Supplemental Terms & Conditions
What are the EU Supplemental Terms?
The EU Supplemental Terms modify and supplement the General Terms & Conditions for users residing in the European Union. They provide additional provisions and clarifications that apply in the EU.
How do the EU Supplemental Terms differ from the General Terms?
The EU Supplemental Terms take precedence over certain provisions in the General Terms to ensure compliance with EU-specific laws. These include modifications to clauses regarding termination of services, changes to services, liability limitations, governing law, jurisdiction, and the right of withdrawal.
Can I cancel my subscription if Goodnotes changes the services?
Yes, if you are using a paid version of Goodnotes, you will be notified 30 days in advance of any significant changes to the Terms. If the changes materially affect your rights, you can cancel the service within 30 days and may receive a pro rata refund for any unused portion of your subscription.
How does Goodnotes handle liability under the EU Supplemental Terms?
Goodnotes limits its liability for slightly negligent breaches, but this limitation does not apply to damages related to injury to life, limb, or health. Liability for gross negligence or intentional harm remains unaffected.
Which law governs the EU Supplemental Terms?
The Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. However, for EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence will apply.
What is the right of withdrawal, and how do I exercise it?
You have the right to withdraw from your contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period starts when we receive the right to withdrawal notice from you in text form.
You can submit your Right to Withdraw in this form.
Or, you may email the following information to our support email: support@goodnotesapp.com or by post to Goodnotes offices in London. Please make the email subject "Right to Withdraw Request - Date" and include the following information:

In some circumstances, you may provide your consent to waive your right to withdraw where it is not possible for us to provide you with this right. We will always inform you in advance of any purchases which are not eligible for withdrawal.
