Use Time Keeper in Goodnotes on iPhone or iPad

Time Keeper is only available on iPhone and iPad. It provides Timer and Stopwatch tools for measuring study or practice sessions.

Start a session with “New Session”.

A running timer continues after you hide its progress bar or close the app. Closing the document tab or returning to Library View displays an alert to stop and save the session.

Open Time Keeper

  1. Open Accessories.
  2. Select the timer icon.
  3. Select New Session.
  4. Choose Timer or Stopwatch.

Start a Timer session

  1. Select Timer.
  2. Type or write the session duration.
  3. Select Start.
  4. Use the controls to pause or end the session.

The progress bar shows remaining time and changes color during the final five seconds.

Select X to hide the bar without stopping the timer. Open Time Keeper again or select the displayed numbers to show it.

You can also use preset Timer modes and save frequently used modes.

Start a Stopwatch session

  1. Select Stopwatch.
  2. Select Start.
  3. Select Lap to record an elapsed time.
  4. Select Pause.
  5. Use the displayed control to continue, restart, or end the session.

View Session History

Timer and Stopwatch sessions are saved with a default name and document name. Stopwatch sessions include lap data.

  1. Open Time Keeper.
  2. Select Timer or Stopwatch.
  3. Select History.
  4. Review the saved sessions.
