Add sticky notes to your notes

Sticky Notes let you add movable, colorful "post-it" style notes to your pages. Use them to jot ideas, annotate without covering your content, or group handwriting and other items so everything moves together.

Create a sticky note

1. Select the Sticky Notes tool from the toolbar.

   

2. Choose a color if needed.
3. Tap anywhere on the page to place a note.
4. Adjust the location of the note if needed.
5. Tap the note and start typing right away. Your text appears inside the note.

Work with a Sticky Note

First, select the note, then do any of the following:

• Edit text: Tap the box again.
• Move: Drag it to a new location.
• Resize: Drag one of the handles.
• Collapse: Choose Collapse (second) icon from the Object Menu or from the More (…) menu.

  • Expand: Tap a collapsed note.

    ℹ️ Expanded notes are included when exporting to PDF or image.

    • Collapsed notes export like icons.

• Format: Use the Formatting icons on the Object Menu:

  

   

  💡 More formatting options can be found from the More (...) menu of the Object Menu > Format and Align.

  

• Cut / copy / duplicate / delete: Choose the respective option on the Object Menu or from More (…) menu.
• Send to Front/Back: Open More (…) menu > Front / Back to send the note to the topmost or bottommost layer.
• Lock the object in place: Open More (…) menu > Lock icon. This prevents the object from being moved accidentally. Unlock it using the same menu entry.
• Scale/Rotate/Resize: Drag the relevant handle: White corner squares: Scale; Blue circles: Resize; White protruding circle: Rotate.
• Other actions: Choose a quick action, or from the More (…) menu.

Format text

1. Select text to format. If no text is selected, the formatting will apply to the next text you type.

    💡 Triple-tap to select an entire paragraph of text.

2. Format the text using the formatting icons:

   

Attach handwriting and other items to a note

When a note is expanded, you can add or move freeform content to a Sticky Note so it moves together with the note.
