I've suddenly lost my premium access to Goodnotes

If you're currently logged in to Goodnotes with the Goodnotes account that you used when purchasing premium access, but now are being prompted to pay again, please try these steps:

  1. Update Goodnotes. It's very important to get the latest fixes and improvements first and foremost.
  2. Force-quit the app and relaunch it. This forces the app to fetch your subscription status.
  3. Open the Settings app > General > Date & Time, and check that your date and time are set correctly to your region's current date and time. Check that Set Automatically is enabled to prevent further issues.
  4. Open the App Store app, tap your profile icon in the top-right corner, and make sure to log in to the App Store account that bought the premium plan. It's the Apple Account shown on the receipt of your Goodnotes purchase.

If the issue persists, we can help you investigate this. Please send over:

  • The Order ID of any in-app purchase made from within the app, e.g. MXD12WMX34. The purchase could be for unlocking the full app (GoodNotes 5 or Goodnotes 6), or any Marketplace items (free or paid). If you can't find any such receipts in your email inbox, check your Purchase History.
  • A screenshot of Goodnotes menu > View Account > Account Settings
  • The Diagnostic Data that you export via Export Diagnostic Data from the same Account Settings screen.

If you don't see a Paywall offering premium plans, but instead see a Subscription Detected error, please see Why am I getting "It looks like your Goodnotes account is already associated to a different sign in method."?
