Creating a new note using "QuickNote"

QuickNotes let you create a new blank notebook instantly for those time when you might just need some scratch paper and don't want to think about choosing templates, titles and page color.

Create a QuickNote

To create a QuickNote tap on the + New button in Library View > QuickNote.

This will create a new blank notebook that is always saved in the currently opened folder as a preliminary draft.

iOS Only: If you tap the Home icon from the document view to go back to the library, you can choose to Save as Untitled, Combine to a Document, or Delete Document.

Setting the default paper template

Every new QuickNote created will use the default paper template, which is either that of the last created notebookor the template you set as default in Goodnotes menu > Manage Notebook Templates.

Why use QuickNotes?

  • Create a QuickNote whenever you want to jot something down without worrying about categorizing it later. You can always add more pages to the new notebook or move it to an existing notebook subsequently.
  • Discarding QuickNotes helps keep your library clean from things you never plan on saving long-term. You can export a QuickNote page and then discard it by tapping on the Home icon.
