Create and Manage a QuickNote

A QuickNote creates a blank notebook immediately without asking you to choose a template, title, or page color. It is stored in the folder currently open in Library View.

This article only applies to notes created with the “QuickNote” option in Library View.

On iOS and iPadOS, returning to Library View presents options to save, combine, or delete the QuickNote.

Create a QuickNote

  1. Open Library View.
  2. Select + New > QuickNote.
  3. Add your notes to the blank notebook.

Finish a QuickNote on iPhone or iPad

  1. Select the Home icon in Document View.
  2. Choose Save as Untitled, Combine to a Document, or Delete Document.

Set the default paper template

A QuickNote uses the template from the last notebook you created or the template set as your default.

  1. Open the Goodnotes menu.
  2. Select Manage Notebook Templates.
  3. Set the paper template you want to use by default.

Use or discard a QuickNote

You can add pages or move QuickNote content to an existing notebook. If you do not want to keep it, you can export the page before deleting the document.
