Read Only Mode lets you scroll through a notebook or whiteboard, open links, and review content without making accidental changes. Audio Recording remains available while Read Only Mode is active.
You cannot use writing or editing tools in Read Only Mode because the Writing Toolbar is hidden. Return to Edit Mode to make changes.
Switch between Read Only Mode and Edit Mode
- Open a notebook or whiteboard.
- Select the “Read Only Mode” icon in the Nav Bar. The Nav Bar turns white and the Writing Toolbar is hidden.
- To return to Edit Mode, select the mode icon again. The Nav Bar turns blue and the Writing Toolbar reappears.
What you can do in Read Only Mode
- Scroll through your notebook or whiteboard without drawing on the page.
- Open internal or external links with one selection.
- Long-press PDF text to access actions such as Highlight, Strikeout, Define, Speak, or Copy.
- Add or view Comments.
- Use Audio Recording while reviewing your content.
What you can do in Edit Mode
In Edit Mode, the Nav Bar is blue and the Writing Toolbar is visible. Select a tool from the Writing Toolbar to write, draw, add content, or edit your notes.
