Quick Actions

Quick actions are suggested questions and prompts derived from the content in your Notebook.
They will usually be separated into two categories:

  1. Tell Me More About: Choosing one of these Quick Actions will prompt Ask Goodnotes to elaborate on a specific topic, giving you a full synopsis based on what is written in your Notebook about the subject.
  2. Suggested Questions: Choosing one of these will prompt Ask Goodnotes to give a more specific answer to a question about the content in your Notebook.

Asking Good Questions

Other than using Quick Actions, you can also ask your own question to Ask Goodnotes and get a personalised response!
To get the best results, it’s important to keep in mind that the chat replies are solely based on the content within your notebook. Here are some good practices for framing your questions:

  1. Be specific: Clearly state the context or topic related to your question based on the content within your notebook.
  2. Use natural language: Ask your questions in a conversational manner, just as you would when seeking information from a human.
  3. Keep it concise: Aim for brevity and clarity in your questions to increase the chances of receiving accurate and relevant responses.
  4. Rephrase if needed: If you receive an unclear or unsatisfactory response, try rephrasing your question or providing additional context based on the content in your notebook

To ensure fair usage and provide an optimal experience for all users, the Ask Goodnotes feature has quota limitations.

Ask Goodnotes is available to users on paid Goodnotes 6 plans, which include 500 credits each month. We are also currently offering limited access to users on free plans, with 10 credits each month to try Ask Goodnotes. Each time you ask a question or use a Quick Action, it will use 1 Credit. Once you hit your monthly limit, you’ll just need to wait until it resets to continue asking. This helps us maintain the feature’s performance and availability for everyone. You can see how many credits you have left in the top left corner of the Ask Goodnotes Sidebar. If you’re on the free version of Goodnotes 6 and want to enjoy more credits, consider upgrading to a paid plan for the full experience.
