On iPhone or iPad, Goodnotes or another app may not appear in the Share Sheet when you share a PDF or image. The system controls which compatible apps are shown.
The Share Sheet customization path is “More (…) > Edit”.
Add Goodnotes to the Share Sheet
- Open a PDF or image in another app and select Share.
- Scroll to the end of the app row.
- Select More (…).
- Select Edit.
- Select the plus button beside Goodnotes, then select Done.
If you still cannot see Goodnotes
- Restart the device.
- Update Goodnotes and iOS or iPadOS.
- Confirm that the file format is supported by Goodnotes.
- Open Goodnotes, then try sharing the file again.
On a managed device
An organization can restrict sharing between managed and unmanaged apps. If the device is managed by a school, university, or company, ask the IT administrator to allow Goodnotes to receive and share documents with other apps.
