An exported PDF may show extended strokes, smearing, or missing marks in one PDF viewer while appearing normal elsewhere. Important: the current cause can depend on the affected document and PDF viewer.
The export setting to compare is “PDF Data Format”.
Compare the PDF
- Open the exported PDF in another PDF viewer.
- Compare the affected page with the same page in Goodnotes.
- Note the viewer name, device, operating system, and affected page numbers.
Export another copy
- Export the document again.
- Open PDF Data Format and choose Editable.
- Open the new PDF in the affected viewer and compare the result.
- If needed, export an image copy for comparison without deleting the original document or PDF.
If the issue continues
Contact Goodnotes Support with the original Goodnotes document, an affected PDF, screenshots, export settings, and PDF viewer details. Keep the original files unchanged.
