You don’t need to stay in Goodnotes to use Audio Recording, allowing you the freedom to be as productive as you need. Whether you need to double-check some information on a website, open your calendar to see when your next meeting or lecture is or refer back to another document you were working on, Goodnotes will keep recording for you.
Recording audio while using other Notebooks
You access any of your other Notebooks while recording. You can do this in 2 ways.
To get started, tap on the mic icon to start a new recording.
- Head back to the Documents View and while browsing your Library, you will notice a yellow icon in the top right corner of your iPad showing you that Goodnotes is still recording.
- Enter a Notebook that is already open in another tab and an icon will appear on the tab that is currently recording.
As Audio Recording will only record in one Notebook at a time, make sure you are recording in the right place as your annotations and notes made in other Notebooks won't be part of the Note Replay for that recording. Note Replay is a feature of Audio Recording that plays back your notes while you listen to your audio.
Recording audio while using otherApps
You can also carry on recording when leaving Goodnotes, both in split-screen or while in another app entirely.
When you leave Goodnotes and open another app, you will be reminded that you are still recording by the icon in the top right corner of your device.
You should now be able to use Audio Recording while you continue to use your device however you need. If you would like to learn more about the Audio Recording feature, why not check out these articles:
