Use Favorites and bookmarks in Goodnotes

You can bookmark a page inside a notebook, or favorite a notebook, document, or folder in your library, to create shortcuts to the content you open most often. Removing a favorite or bookmark removes only the shortcut; it does not delete the original content.

Favorite a notebook, document, or folder

To favorite a notebook, document, or folder so it appears in your Favorites tab:

  1. In the Library, locate the document or folder.
  2. Select the Star on its thumbnail or open the item and select the Star in the upper-right corner.
  3. Open the “Favorites” tab to find it.

Bookmark a page

To bookmark an individual page inside a notebook or document so you can jump back to it later:

  1. Open the page you want to bookmark.
  2. Select the Bookmark icon to add the page to Favorites.
  3. Select the icon again when you want to remove the bookmark.

Remove a favorite or bookmark

To remove a favorited notebook, document, or folder, select its active Star. To remove a bookmarked page, select the active Bookmark on that page. The shortcut disappears from Favorites while the original item remains in your library.

Ways to use Favorites

  • Bookmark an index, schedule, or other page you open often.
  • Add active documents to Favorites as a temporary to-do list, then remove them when the work is complete.
