Use Favorites and bookmarks in Goodnotes

Important: Removing a favorite or bookmark does not delete the original item.

Favorites and bookmarks create shortcuts to frequently used documents, folders, or individual pages. Removing a favorite or bookmark removes only the shortcut; it does not delete the original content.

Add a document or folder to Favorites

  1. In the Library, locate the document or folder.
  2. Select the Star on its thumbnail or open the item and select the Star in the upper-right corner.
  3. Open the “Favorites” tab to find it.

  1. Open the page.
  2. Select the Bookmark icon to add the page to Favorites.
  3. Select the icon again when you want to remove the bookmark.

Remove an item from Favorites

Select the active Star on a document or folder, or the active Bookmark on a page. The shortcut disappears from Favorites while the original item remains in your library.

Ways to use Favorites

  • Bookmark an index, schedule, or other page you open often.
  • Add active documents to Favorites as a temporary to-do list, then remove them when the work is complete.
