Delete documents, notebooks, and folders from your library

Use these steps to move documents, notebooks, and folders from your Goodnotes library to the Trash Bin. You can delete one item or select multiple items at once, and recover them later unless you permanently delete them.

Important: Deleting a document or folder from your library does not remove it permanently right away. It stays in the Trash Bin until you recover it, move it, or delete it permanently. Permanent delete from the Trash Bin cannot be undone.

Please note: This article covers deleting documents and folders from Library view. To delete pages inside a notebook, see Deleting pages and covers.

Delete multiple documents, notebooks, or folders

  1. From Library view (Documents), tap the checkmark icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Select the documents or folders you want to delete.
    • Tip: Swipe across a row to select it.
  3. Tap the Trash icon at the top.

The selected items move to the Trash Bin.

Delete one document, notebook, or folder

  1. From the Documents or Favorites tab in Library view, tap the title of a document or folder.
  2. Choose Move to Trash.

Recover items from the Trash Bin
