Use this article to view your Goodnotes account, change your username, check your subscription, sign out, or delete your account on Android, Windows, and Web.
For iOS, see Manage your Goodnotes account and subscription in iOS.
Important: To use the same Goodnotes account on another device, sign in with the same sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or Microsoft) and the same email address shown in Account Settings. Cancel a subscription on the same store you used to subscribe. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription or issue a refund.

Samsung exclusive offer
If you received the Samsung exclusive offer, you may have one year of All Platforms Yearly at no charge. Details are in Samsung Exclusive Offer - FAQs.
- Go to Goodnotes menu > your name > Subscription.
You should see:
- Current Plan: Samsung Free Reward
- Expires Date
What happens after the expiry date is covered in the Samsung FAQ article above.
Manage app settings
- Go to Goodnotes menu > Settings.
You can change notification preferences, cookie preferences, and open the Cookie Policy, Privacy Policy, and Terms and Conditions.
Sign out
Important: Signing out removes local data on this device. Notebooks already synced to the cloud stay in your account and load again when you sign in. Unsynced changes can be lost.
- Go to Goodnotes menu > your name > Account settings and note Email & Connected Via so you can sign in again.
- Check that recent notebooks have finished syncing. In document view, tap the file name to check sync status.
- Stay connected to a network.
- Go to Goodnotes menu > Sign Out.
Delete your account
Important: Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription or issue a refund. If you don't cancel first, the subscription can keep renewing. Cancel on the store you used to subscribe before you delete. Subscriptions bought on non-Apple platforms, including Samsung Premium, are disconnected from this account and cannot be restored to another account.
Before you delete:
- Deleting on one platform removes the account on every platform where you use that Goodnotes account.
- You'll be asked to confirm before the account is deleted.
- After the account is permanently deleted, the action cannot be undone.
- Goodnotes data is deleted across platforms, except documents stored locally on your iPad or synced to iCloud.
- Export your notebooks from Android, Windows, or Web as a backup first.
- Go to Goodnotes menu > Manage account > Account settings > Delete account.
- If there is unsynced data, you'll see an alert before deletion continues.
By default, deletion is scheduled for 21 days later. After 21 days, the account and its data are permanently deleted.
- If you sign in during those 21 days, you can recover the account.
- If you sign in after those 21 days, you'll be signed in as a new user.
- To delete immediately instead of waiting, tap "Want to permanently delete your account immediately?" and confirm.
What happens to your documents after deletion is complete?
Shared documents are no longer available to other people. Documents saved on non-Apple devices are erased. Documents saved on Apple devices stay in the app or iCloud. If anything was still syncing, unsynced data may be lost.
How do I recover my account within 21 days?
Sign in on Android, Windows, or Web within 21 days and choose to restore the account. Shared documents become private again, and you'll need to share them again if you want others to have access.
On Apple devices, follow Manage your Goodnotes account and subscription in iOS.
You can also request deletion of your data. See Right to Erasure and Account Deletion FAQs.
