- Sign Out with a Stable Network Connection: Always sign out while connected to the network to ensure your changes are synced and saved. To verify the sync status, tap on the file name from the document view. Be aware that signing out will remove local data and may result in data loss if changes are not yet synced. Notebooks that are already synced to the cloud will remain safe and will be loaded when you log in again.
Delete account
Before deleting your account, please consider the following important information:
For Non-Apple Platforms Only: Scheduled Account Deletion
When you request account deletion on Android, Windows, and Web, your account will be scheduled for deletion in 21 days. This gives you time to reconsider and recover your account if you change your mind.
What happens to your Goodnotes account after requesting deletion on Android, Windows, and Web?
Once you request account deletion, your account will be scheduled for deletion 21 days later. After 21 days, your account and all its data will be permanently deleted. If you try to log in after that period, you will be logged in as a new user.
What happens to your documents after requesting deletion?
Once you request account deletion, any shared documents will no longer be accessible by others. Documents saved on non-Apple devices will be erased, but documents saved on Apple devices will remain in the app or iCloud. If any documents are still syncing when you request deletion, you may lose any unsynced data. You will receive an alert if there’s any unsynced data before deletion takes place.
How to recover your account within 21 days on Android, Windows, and Web?
If you change your mind and want to recover your account within 21 days, just sign in, and you'll have the option to restore it. Please note that scheduled account deletion is not available on iOS yet. If you try to log in on the iOS app during the 21-day period, you’ll get an error message. Simply go back to a non-Apple platform to recover your account.
Once your account is recovered, any documents you had shared will now be private again, and you’ll need to share them again if necessary.
You can also exercise your right to delete your data by contacting us. Please review this article for the essential information and about how to submitting such request.
